Grafix®: Wedding Shower Favor Holder

Create whimsical and fun favor holders for your next shower or gathering.

These holders are made of clear craft plastic and have been embellished with Rub-Onz that you can make yourself! Simply select your favorite stamp, stamp on the special film and apply the adhesive. Now you have a rub-on that you can apply to any smooth surface! Present your guests with these fun baskets filled with their favorite goodies.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

  • Grafix: Rub-Onz; Craft Plastic; Double Tack
  • Darice: Wedding Cake stamp
  • Tsukineko: StazOn Ink (red)
  • Making Memories: square brads (large)
  • Michaels: polka dot ribbon; chenille stem
  • McGill: circle punches
  • Chatterbox: patterned paper
  • Bazill: Basics cardstock
  • tacky glue

INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1
Cut five squares out of the craft plastic, each measuring 4" x 4".

Step 2
Peel off the backing and lay the four squares side by side.

Step 3
Apply a strip of Double Tack 1/2" thick across the seams where two squares meet, and cover with ribbon. This will hold the sides of your box together.

Step 4
Fold into a cube and secure the last edge with Double Tack and ribbon.

Step 5
Glue the last square to the bottom. Cover the top and bottom edge with ribbon and secure with Double Tack.

Step 6
Cut two strips of pink cardstock to the desired handle length (one should be 1/2" thinner than the other). Glue the thinner strip centered on the thick strip.

Step 7
Punch five circles out of patterned paper and glue four of them to the handle.

Step 8
Punch a large dark pink circle and a medium light pink circle. Offset the light pink circle and glue to the large circle. Glue the remaining patterned paper circle to the large circle.

Step 9
Write a sentiment on the tag. Punch a hole and secure it with the chenille stem.

Step 10
Fill the basket with candies, mints, candles, notecards or other goodies and give to shower guests.
