This beautiful card, with its intricately designed papers and embellishments, taps into the Bohemian trend that's taking the crafting world by storm.
I added a silver medallion to a pink silk flower to create a focal with lots of texture, dimension and interest. A medallion cutout above and below it gives the card balance while the torn edge adds even more texture to the design.MATERIALS NEEDED:
- Hot Off The Press: Paper Pizazz® Bohemian sarapapers™; Bohemian Embellish-abilities™; Bohemian Medallion Brad Buddies™
- brown inkpad
- 5" x 6 1/2" blank white card
- 1/16" hole punch
- foam tape
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1
Cut a 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" piece of blue swirl paper with the border to the right. With the fold at the left, glue the paper to the card front, flush against the left edge. Tear the card front to measure 3" wide. Roll the torn edges of the paper up and ink the edges brown.
Step 2
Secure aqua and pink brads to the centers of circle cutouts and mount on the top and bottom of the card front with foam tape. Secure a silver medallion Brad Buddy™ to the center of a large pink silk flower using a white mini brad. Glue the flower between the cutouts.
Step 3
Computer journal on the pink tab and brown tag. Glue the tab to extend from behind the torn edge of the card front.
Step 4
For the card inside: Cover the card inside with blue swirl paper with the pattern on the right edge. Ink the edges brown. Glue the tag to the top, near the fold, and secure a pink mini brad at the top. Close the card and wrap with white dots sheer ribbon. Tie the ribbon into a bow as a closure.
